I like graphics. But graphics don't make the game. FEAR was scary but it didn't do it the way system shock 2 did, SS2 is scary not only because of it's graphics which set the mood. SS2 did it by making you attached to your character thanks to a very good stat system. Almost Xcom like in fact.
