fernitnow ::: Favorites 2007-11-30 18:04:22 No, I meant you living in New York, did you ever see Andy Warhol or Keith Haring....sorry for the confusion. So yeah, it was Let's go crazy....thanks for reminding me. __________________________________________________
ernestsewell ::: Favorites 2007-11-30 15:41:59 Oh forgot..."Erotic City" was the B-side to "Let's Go Crazy" and that 12" ROCKED. Rock on one side, and funk on the other. Where in NY did you live? I've been here about 10 years and 1 month. __________________________________________________
ernestsewell ::: Favorites 2007-11-30 15:41:02 "When Doves Cry" was the single covered in flowers. the "Purple Rain" 7" and 12" were sold on black and limited edition purple vinyl as well. I have both purple ones. The PR album was on purple vinyl too. "When Doves cry" 7" was sent to radio station on purple vinyl (not released to the public), and I have that too. WOOT! __________________________________________________
fernitnow ::: Favorites 2007-11-30 13:02:44 12", 45rpm singles....wow, I vaguely remember that. That's awesome you still have your Prince singles on vinyl. I think I once bought a single of his from purple rain....which one has the cover completely covered in flowers? I think it had erotic city as a b-side? Vinyl was also cool when they were manufactured in translucent colors. Here's something I just remembered......INTERVIEW magazine! Living in new york Ernest.....did you ever see Andy Warhol or Keith Haring? __________________________________________________
jaye56 ::: Favorites 2007-11-30 12:43:32 Wow, I'm suprised you look too young to know all of these. This was kind of a test and you passed with flying colors. "She's Always In My Hair" is my favorite but, it has to be the long versions always. Thanks for the response, Have a great day. Peace/Jaye __________________________________________________
ernestsewell ::: Favorites 2007-11-30 11:44:43 Hmmm, had no clue you were within a year of me. Okay okay, I take it back. You really DO remember 45's. hehe I LOVED MY SWATCH WATCH. I had 3. Never had Vans. but I loved my 12". I still have all Prince's 12" single and most of his albums on vinyl. Remember 12" that went at 45 rpm too? __________________________________________________
fernitnow ::: Favorites 2007-11-30 11:00:25 hehe, knee high to a grasshopper....that's the first time i've heard that one....love it! well, my brother had the doobie brothers on 8-track. I think i was like 7 or 8.....the player was a box, which pulled apart becoming two separate speakers, one of which contained the 8-track device....i remember that. I'm only 40 years old, so the 80's was more my generation. swatch watch, checkered vans, 12" singles....New Order! hehe Happy Friday Ernest! ~fErn~ __________________________________________________
