aussies have the light version, but only use it on deployments because it has a lower barrel life. only 500 rounds or so. the heavy version can fire 5000+

dude. thats 7 rounds in less than 1 minute. you would have to have all rounds lined neatly, and feed all rounds perfectly. couldnt do it with he, you need to set the range.not gunna happen. think you are speakin a bit of BS man

I did this for 10 months in the Swedish army, great weapon. Requirments in sweden are 6 rounds in 2 standing targets at 300meter and 1 moving target (30km/h) at 200meters in less than 1 min... Keep practising guys :-)

American's use the lighter version but we call it the M3. Only used by certian special ops units. I carried it for 3 years in 1st Ranger Batallion. It is an amazingly accurate weapon.

A lighter version exists, called m86 i Sweden, carbon fiber or glasfiber with a thinner steel tube, if i remember right. Not use in time of peace tho, becouse of that the m48 is not that sencitive to hits and missabuse.
