I'm cutting the so called 'palewstinians' some slack by suggesting they are not 'legitimate', because the moment we say they are, it becomes a viable option to simply conduct a solid military campaign against them, and demolish the systems they depend on to continue their war. Currently, Israels army actually exists as a counter to the combined Arab League, which encouraged 'palestinian terror' in proxy war. So legitimately, they are irregular troops of the Arab League.

Many causes claim legitimacy, but it doesn't make it so. If we allow there is a 'Palestine' that is 'legitimate' in modern terms, then it is in a state of war with Israel, and they are legitimized in carpet bombing all economic, and political regions held by 'Palestinians, to force a surrender. Under those conditions it is 'Palestine' who is the consistent aggressor, and who needs to be defeated.

What he is attacking is the idea that these people can call themselves 'Palestinians' when they are in fact, Arab Muslims who are extensions of the politics (and inhumanity of) the Arab League. They were 'created'as refugees by the Arab League as an immediate result of the first failed attempt to destroy Israel in '48.

Archaeology! It isn't that hard. I had an Anthropology course that inadvertantly dragged be through middle eastern history. I was collecting information on how 'Pagan' religions were impacted by the dominant mono-theistic ones. I learned a lot. The ruins people go to see as tourists, are evidence of ancient Jewish culture in the region.

If you would read what I have said already, you will see that I have NEVER argued that on this page! I simply state that just as the Jews CAN try to reclaim Judea, the other people who were living there can attempt to prevent that from happening- in fact they would be expected to do so. The legitimacy of that attempt is what Von Helton is attacking and I think that is ridiculous.

Archaeology? Or Biblical accounts? Oh, wait you claim to not believe the Bible. But when it suits you you're willing to accept its veracity?

There were other tribes in Philistine before the establishment of the Judean kingdom. You are again playing the original owner game after having criticized me falsely for doing the same thing. There had not been any Judean kingdom for centuries when the Muslims came into power.

There is clearly a difference between owning land and declaring an independent country. No Muslim has a problem with Jews buying and owning as much land, legitimately as they wish. But declaring a country created solely for Jews and expelling the non-Jewish people from there is wrong, no matter how many Mandates are written up to justify it.

meelash1, let me make this simple for you. Every reason that Muslims use to justify taking the land of the Jews (and Christians) for the last 1400 years, is at least equal justifivcation for returning Jews to fight for thier freedom, and survival, in their land of origin (Israel) If Muslims can claim that Spain is stolen from Muslims (which they do) then the 'Holy land' is land stolen BY Muslims, and if they can try to reclaim Spain, then jews can try to reclaim Judea. Capiche?
